Sakaka Kaneshiro Scores WSMX “Winning Form Bonus” at WMX Red Bud National

WSMX-Women’s School Of Motocross “Winning Form” Bonus has proven very popular with the Women of Motocross.  The Bonus award has been hotly contested with 4 different riders claiming the award in every round of the AMA Women’s Professional Motocross WMX Series.  The latest winners of the award are Sayaka Kaneshiro with her 4th overall at the Red Bud Michigan National, while Sara Price by virtue of her 4th place overall at Thunder Valley National in Lakewood, Colorado claimed the prize.  They join recipients: WSMX rider Jacqueline Strong winner of the Hangtown National opener in California and Tatum Sik who roped the prize at Freestone National in Texas.

This year’s AMA/WMX MX Sports Series has proven to be one of the most competitive ever in Women’s Motocross history.  WSMX founder and former WMX Champion, Debbie Matthews is thrilled to be a part of the series and provide a little extra support for the AMA Women’s National MX Series which she co-founded in 1996.

Matthews founded WSMX-Women’s School of Motocross in 1999 and continues to give back to the community helping riders along the way, and creating opportunities for growth and development. One of the first riders she worked with is now 2x AMA National Champion and 2x X-Games Gold Medalist Ashley Fiolek, along with a host of other top 10 Women pro and Amateur racers. Her latest support includes WMX Pro riders Jacqueline Strong, Danielle Sawicki and Heather Lockwood.
