Inagural WSMX “Winning Form” Bonus goes to JStrong at Hangtown National Opener

WSMX Team Rider Jacqueline Strong of Sedona, Arizona captured the inagural WSMX “Winning Form” Bonus at the Hangtown opener this week. It seemed only fitting that her sponsor Debbie Matthews, of WSMX be in attendance at the event, since it was she who co-founded the WML which created the AMA WMX Series in 1996. It was a sweet homecoming for Matthews, coined the “Godmother of WMX” by announcer Irv Braun, seeing her rider get the bonus check, and revisting the very series she and Elaine Ruff created 15 years ago with the AMA and NPG. Jacqueline put in a Strong effort to finish 5th on the day, a great start to the new season. “I am so very happy for the support WSMX is giving me this year. If it wasn’t for them, I wouldn’t even be racing the nationals this year! So, it’s kinda cool that I won the award. I know it will definitely help, and I’m looking forward to the rest of the series.”
